Technology leader and public servant ready for Colorado
I'm Brashad Hasley, a U.S. Navy veteran, a senior software engineer, and most importantly, someone who deeply believes in service to the country over self, and I'm running for the U.S. Senate to put Colorado families first. My journey began in uniform, serving our nation in the U.S. Navy. It was there I learned the values of duty, honor, and putting mission before self, values that guide me every single day.
After my military service, I carried that same dedication into the technology sector. As a software engineer, I worked alongside the government to modernize and secure critical systems, the very systems that keep our nation safe and efficient. I’ve seen first hand how technology can strengthen our nation when it’s guided with responsibility and purpose.
But, I also watched as Washington drifted further away from the realities everyday Americans face:
Too many of our leaders are stuck in yesterday’s thinking, while the future is charging forward. That’s why I’m running for Senate. My military service taught me discipline and duty. My software engineering career taught me how to build solutions for the future. Together, they give me a perspective on what it means to serve, not as a politician but as a builder of stability, opportunity, and fairness.
Colorado deserves a Senator who won’t just talk about problems, but will build the solutions. That’s the mission I’m ready to take on.
I come from the world of technology, not politics. In my career as a software engineer, I’ve learned that innovation, problem solving, and long term thinking are required. That’s exactly what our government needs right now. For years, I’ve built real solutions to complex problems. I know how to identify inefficiencies, create systems that work, and deliver results people can rely on. These aren’t theories or talking points, this is my everyday work. I’ve worked directly with government systems, helping modernize and secure the infrastructure that keeps our country running. That experience gave me a front row seat to both the potential of American innovation and the limits of our outdated approaches in Washington.
The truth is, the challenges we face with AI, climate change, rising costs, healthcare, and education cannot be solved with politics as usual.
They demand leaders who know how to build solutions and not just argue problems.
My background prepares me to bring that mindset to the Senate. I’m not running to be another politician. I’m running because Colorado deserves a Senator who knows how to translate complexity into clarity, who sees both the risks and the opportunities of the future, and who is ready to build the systems that make our families stronger and our state more secure.
Colorado represents everything I believe in: innovation, independence, and a healthy spirit that never backs down from challenges. This is my home. I’ve seen firsthand how Coloradans approach problems with practical solutions, creativity and commonsense leadership. That mindset is exactly what Washington is missing. Colorado is at the crossroads of America’s future. I’ve been part of this community, and I’ve seen how families, small businesses, and workers here balance grit and vision. That spirit has shaped the way I lead and the other reason I’m running. Colorado is where I’ve built my family, wher I married my wife, and where we raised our kids. It’s where I’ve seen the real challenges families face, housing costs, wages that don’t keep up, communities left behind. Those aren’t abstract issues to me, they're lived realities. My way of doing things is being practical, innovative, and caring about people first. And, I believe that should be the Colorado way. This campaign is about who I serve and how we build a stronger future for Colorado together.
The principles that guide my work and leadership
True leadership means putting the mission and the people you serve ahead of personal gain or political advantage.
I believe in building real solutions, not just talking points. Government should work efficiently and effectively for the people it serves.
From cybersecurity to infrastructure, I understand how technology can solve problems and improve lives when applied thoughtfully and securely.
Having worked on government systems, I understand the critical importance of protecting our nation from both traditional and cyber threats.
The foundation of my values and motivation for service
Family is the cornerstone of everything I do. They remind me every day why I'm committed to building a better future for Colorado and our nation.
My family keeps me grounded in the values that matter most: integrity, hard work, and service to others. They're my inspiration to fight for policies that strengthen families, create opportunities, and build stronger communities.
When I think about the Colorado I want to leave for the next generation, I think about the world I want my family to inherit: one with more opportunities, better healthcare, quality education, and a sustainable environment.
Together, we can build a better future for Colorado. Get involved today.
